Më shumë se 3 miliardë tulipanë rriten çdo vit dhe dy e treta e luleve eksportohen, kryesisht në ShBA dhe Gjermani.

Sezoni i tulipanëve fillon në mars dhe zgjat deri në gusht.

The 56-year-old Frenchman and English Cesna pilot Claython Pender made passes of the fields in Anna Paulowna, a municipality in North Holland. He timed his photography to capture the multi-coloured height of the growing season in mid-April 2011. Normaan explains: "The tulip has come to be a loved symbol of the Netherlands.
